Cob Loaf
Ingredients
250 g philly cheese,
250g sour cream,
6 rashes of bacon (diced),
1 capsicum (diced), 3 shallots
(diced),
1 large onion (diced).
Beat 250 g of philly cheese and 250 g
of sour cream together. Fry the bacon rashes, capsicum, shallots and
onion together until onion is clear. Mix all together
Pull out the inside of a cob loaf.
Pour filling into cob loaf. Bake in an oven (180 degrees) for 45
minutes, put on lid and place the bread from the centre of the cob loaf
around the outside. Bake for a further 10-15 minutes, serve warm.
Bread Dip
1 cob loaf, 1 pkt philly cheese, 2
cups sour cream, 1 cup grated tasty cheese, 1 cup diced champagne ham or
bacon, 1 can of diced corn, 1 onion diced, gherkin or asparagus, salt
& pepper.
Cut top of bread, hollow bread loaf
and keep pieces aside. Combine ingredients, fill cob loaf, replace the
top, place the rest of the bread pieces around the cob loaf and bake in
a moderate to low oven for about 50 minutes.
