Bread and Butter Pudding
Ingredients
Sugar
˝ cup
Eggs
3
Cream
1 cup
Milk
2 cups
Bread
4 slices
Sultanas
1/3 of a cup
Butter
2 tbsp
Apricot jam
2 tbsp
Drop of rum (optional..)
Method
Brush the bottom of a baking tray with some of the
butter. Place the bread on the
bottom, brush with more butter and apricot jam, then sprinkle with the
sultanas… and the rum. Warm the
milk and the cream in a saucepan and mix the sugar and the eggs in a bowl. Pour the hot mixture into the bowl and pour into the baking
tray. Cook in a moderate oven
(200-220 deg.) for about 30 minutes or until set.
