Pears
in Chocolate
Ingredients
Pears
4 (1 per person)
Chocolate 1 cup or 200g
Sugar 1 cup
Method
In a saucepan bring to the
boil 2 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar.
Peel the pears and cook them for between 5 and 20 minutes. To see
if the pears are cooked, insert a small knife into them.
(Not all the pears may be cooked at the same time.)
Leave them in the liquid to cool.
Place another saucepan on a
very low heat and melt the chocolate, then add 1 or 2 tbsp of the
cooking liquid. Whisk
vigorously to make the sauce. The
chocolate sauce has to be the consistency of pouring cream.
You can serve with ice cream
and cream.
