Macadamia Nut Cake

Ingredients

Macadamia nuts 100 g (finely chopped)

Self-raising flour 3/4 cup

Sugar 1 cup

Butter ½ cup

Egg whites 4

Method

Mix softened butter and sugar thoroughly with a wooden spoon, incorporate the flour and then the macadamia nuts.  Beat the egg whites with a whisk until stiff and fold them into the mixture.  Line a 20 cm baking tin with greaseproof paper and pour the mixture inside.  Cook in a moderate oven (about 200 deg) for 30 to 40 minutes.
