Chocolate Slices

Ingredients

Chocolate ½ cup (150g)

Sugar 2 cups

Plain flour ½ cup

Eggs 4

Butter 1 cup (200g)

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Walnuts 2/3 cup (chopped)

Method

Pre-heat the oven to a medium-high temperature.  Grease and flour the baking tray.  Melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave until soft. (approx. 2 minutes)  Beat the eggs and sugar until thick, add the vanilla and fold the chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar.  Add the flour and walnuts and fold gently until blended.  Pour into the prepared baking tray and bake for 25 minutes or until centre is just set.  Allow to cool in the tray for 30 minutes before cutting into slices.
