One day in Jasper Canada
One day in Jasper As Paul is not with us anymore we don’t have to look for the best coffee, only the cheapest breakfast…and we find it , at Papa Georges place , coffee of your choice, poached eggs, toasts, bacon, potatoes a real bargain for $6.50 We were ready then for 12 k in the wilderness, with water fall, rapids, canyons and Japanese… We also went to a place call whistlers, you take the gondola and have a fantastic view from the top. Anyway, I was very reassured as there was one Australian chef in the kitchen of the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel. We didn’t lose our cool and went to work, as all the rest of the chefs and pastry chefs looked on. ½ hour later the croquet en bouche was back on its stand, maybe not as big, but it was … Continue reading

The Day Before The Wedding
The day before the wedding Yes, tomorrow is the wedding of an Australian girl and a Canadian boy… I promised my niece Samara a year ago that I would do a croquet en bouche for her wedding, thinking the wedding may not happen or I will find someone else to do it in Calgary or Banff. I was wrong, very wrong, the wedding is still on and no one in Banff or Calgary wants to do it. (I guess the problem is the transport, and they are too busy anyway) (Young man: come to Canada and open patisseries, lots of work for you!) I better get going, as we have to be in Banff tonight. Number one problem is I … Continue reading
